# MyFinalVideo

> MyFinalVideo (myfinalvideo.com, formerly MyFinalMessage) is a digital legacy service for recording private video messages that are encrypted in the browser, stored securely and delivered to recipients the owner chooses after proof-of-life check-ins go unanswered and an emergency contact confirms. It is for personal messages and is not a will, a legal document or a medical directive.

Current status: check-in and delivery emails are paused while the email provider is being finalised. Accounts, recording and encrypted storage work; check-ins start once email delivery is switched on.

Key facts:

- Plans (one-time payments, no subscription): Free Trial 14 days, 1 video, up to 3 recipients; Essential $20, 3 videos, up to 3 recipients per video; Family $60, owner + 3 family accounts, 3 videos each; Enterprise from $17 per account (250 accounts) to $10 per account (5,000 accounts). Checkout shows the final amount including any taxes.
- Payments: card (and other methods Dodo supports) through Dodo Payments as Merchant of Record; cryptocurrency is not accepted. Full refund on request within 14 days of purchase.
- Check-ins: the owner picks an interval from one month to eight years. If a check-in is not answered, reminders follow on days 7 and 14, a final warning on day 21, and the emergency contact is asked from day 22. Silence alone never releases a message: the emergency contact must confirm, then a 48-hour cooldown runs (plus any yearly date the owner chose). A confirmed check-in from the owner (submitting the form in the email; opening the link is not enough) cancels a pending release. Automated systems can still send in error, and delivered mail cannot be recalled.
- Recipients: up to 3 per video; they receive a private link valid for 90 days and can watch and download the video without an account.
- Security: videos are encrypted in the browser with AES-256-GCM before upload; keys are protected with Google Cloud KMS; recipient delivery uses server-assisted key re-wrapping, so this is not an absolute zero-knowledge design. Stored copies are deleted 180 days after delivery. App runtime: Google Cloud europe-west1; database and video storage: us-central1.
